
ingredients list:
- 14 oz can organic young jackfruit, drained & rinsed
- 1/4 cup bbq sauce
- 1/4 water
- 1.25 cups vital wheat gluten
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1.25 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- bbq sauce for glazing
gather ingredients:

start cooking: add jackfruit, the 1/4 cup of bbq sauce and 1/4 of water to a small saucepan and cook on medium for approximately 15 minutes. remove from heat and Smash with potato masher.

Combine the dry ingredients first, then fold in the wet ingredients (once the jackfruit has cooled slightly).



knead ingredients by hand until a ball forms. Press into 8×8 baking dish lined with parchment paper.

bake @ 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and carefully flip. (I flip out onto a new piece of parchment paper).

brush with a thin layer of bbq sauce and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
Enjoy On a bun or in a taco with some tangy vegan slaw!
