First, prepare your kichen! The right tools are essential and totally worth the investment.
a high speed blender, such as Vitamix, will allow you to blend cashews into the creamiest sauces, and oats into the finest powder. i can’t say enough good things about my vitamix!

you’ll want a 8+ cup food processor. It’s a huge time saver and will give you a consistent size to your chop or dice.

lastly, a stand mixer. i use this less than the other two, but when i “knead” it, i’m sure glad i have it! 😉

next, these are some staples that I ALWAYS have on hand, and use often in my recipes. Most of these you can find at your local grocery store, but a few i get from amazon so i included the links:
- Vital wheat gluten
- Nutritional yeast
- short grain brown rice
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- smoked paprika
- cumin
- liquid smoke (I like hickory)
- fresh or jarred garlic
- fresh or jarred ginger
- soy sauce
- vegetable broth
- ”chicken” broth
- raw cashews
- chickpeas
- apple cider vinegar
- light brown sugar
- pure maple syrup
- soy curls
- coconut and extra virgin olive oil
